CEO and Founder

Karen Trilevsky founded FullBloom Baking Co. in 1989 and continues to play numerous critical roles at the fast-growing the company. With more than 220 employees, Karen has baked core values right into her company, taking tender loving care with its people, its delicious products, its customers and the planet. 

Karen currently sits on the Board of Directors of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs and FullBloom’s own Smart Cookie Scholarship Fund. She recently graduated from UCLA’s Entrepreneurship Program. She is also a member of Slow Food and the Chefs’ Collaborative.

FRANKIE WHITMAN

Vice President Marketing

Frankie Whitman manages all marketing, public relations and key customer relationships for the company. Additionally, she guides R&D efforts, responding to customer opportunities and requests.

Thanks to her focused experience, Frankie has deep and strong connections in the national and premium food networks. She is active in the natural and premium food sectors. She currently sits on the Board of Governors for Slow Food USA and is actively involved in the San Francisco Professional Food Society. 

Frankie earned her MA in Consumer Economics & Public Policy at Cornell University in NY, and her BA in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.  

 


LAVERNE MATIAS

Vice President Human Resources

Laverne Matias strategizes and oversees FullBloom’s human resources operations, including staffing, diversity, rewards, recognition, employee benefits, learning and development, organizational development, strategic change and internal communications.

He offers Fullbloom expertise in organizational design, talent acquisition and development, performance management and cultural transformation. This extensive experience allows him to optimally align business goals with the strengths and needs of FullBloom’s team of employees.

Laverne earned his MA degree from John F. Kennedy University in CA and holds the Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) designation from the Society for HR Management.


LESLIE HILL
Vice President Finance

Leslie Hill brings to FullBloom nearly three decades’ experience in financial service. She has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting and financial management, with experience in the specialty food business. She began her career as a bookkeeper and moved up to Chief Financial Officer.

She guides the budgeting process for the company, provides accurate and timely reporting to assist in decision making, and manages the finance department.




MaryAnn Pijar
VP Sales and Innovation

MaryAnn comes to FullBloom with extensive experience in business development and sales. She has worked with large companies such as Kraft and Campbell’s Soup, and with smaller entrepreneurial companies. She is a results-oriented leader and has experience in driving sales across multiple sales channels. In her role at FullBloom, she directs the sales strategy and manages the innovation of the R&D team.

MaryAnn has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a masters degree in Marketing and Communications, both from Penn State University.
